***2024: Flowchart24, The World*** ** Flowchart24   On January 15th, SyKi released a full length project titled Flowchart24. The intended concept of the album was to depict a process of manifestation which SyKi practices, in the form of a Flowchart24 based on SyKi's rap lines; "from the eye, to the pen, to the pad, to the booth, to the future", which is a direct quote from SyKi's Foreign Feel verse on the song Crush It. The concept of the quote is evident in the visual which SyKi illustrated in his signature tribal art style of abstract art, for the cover art of the album. ***2023: The EPs "Step.0", "Slytherin House", "SoSo", "Foreign Feel"*** ** Step.0 ** On January 4th, 2023, SyKi released an EP titled "Step.0". **PURGATORY, SiKE, heyyou, EVERYTHiNG: Commencing independence PURGATORY EP SyKi closed 2022 with 4 EPs which he worked on without his usual sound engineering aids, and his prone collaborators. SyKi worked on several lower quality songs than usual. Prioritizing greater creative control, creative freedom and more authority over the pace of his music's production.  At first SyKi worked on a 6-song extended play, titled "PURGATORY". Almost all songs on the EP were produced by Flapjack Davis who sampled segments of audio clips from SyKi's phone recorded acoustic songs which resulted in the project's instrumentals. PURGATORY became the project consisting of songs by SyKi, vocally delivered over instrumentals comprised of samples from his own songs. *2022, Various Projects, ANDiTGo & Creative Independence SyKi roughly recorded 3 cover songs using a voice recorder app on a mobile phone, playing an acoustic guitar while performing sung vocals. The covers featured his vocals of his favourite parts of the songs on the EP, "OverO's". SyKi sang "Fair Trade" by Drake & Travis Scott, only singing lyrics of the sample in the original song and those from Travis Scott and incorporating a line from Drake's "Girls Want Girls" as a closing vocal element. SyKi also covered the songs "Outside" by The Weeknd and "Avoid Things" by Tems, banding the 3 songs into the OverO's EP and on March, 21st of 2022, presenting it's release to a small number of his female followers. **2021: Local Popularity, FlyAss Ent., Flapjack, Sleepwalking EP** 2021 was a year where SyKi was involved in a series of self promotion in the local music scene. SyKi became the opening act at a youth driven variety show event at *The Don Mateman Hall, performing the spoken-word poem 'Deification', a lengthy lyrical piece which would go on to be used as an intro piece for his ANDiTGo album. Apparently this performance was unplanned and SyKi was a stand-in for a martial arts academy who were originally meant to open the show. SyKi also performed an unreleased remix of Kendrick Lamar's 'ADHD' later in the show. **2020, Career Beginnings  While based in the southern region of the city of Johannesburg, in the suburb of Eldorado Park neighborhood, SyKi became acquainted with videographer, photographer, author, editor, graphic designer and founder of Chair-Magic Entertainment, John Trevor Matos, who discovered SyKi's talents and began to manage the artist. Matos introduced SyKi to Warwick Da.Kidd, a rap artist who spearheaded the Eldorado Park music group known as *Hooligan Ent. Warwick Da.Kidd assisted SyKi with recording 5 songs for his first mixtape, "Syki So". SyKi would select 3 of the 5 songs to remain on the extended play.
