3.) SyKi The Mind: Beginnings

**2020, Career Beginnings

While based in the southern region of the city of Johannesburg, in the suburb of Eldorado Park neighborhood, SyKi became acquainted with videographer, photographer, author, editor, graphic designer and founder of Chair-Magic Entertainment, John Trevor Matos, who discovered SyKi's talents and began to manage the artist. Matos introduced SyKi to Warwick Da.Kidd, a rap artist who spearheaded the Eldorado Park music group known as *Hooligan Ent. Warwick Da.Kidd assisted SyKi with recording 5 songs for his first mixtape, "Syki So".

SyKi would select 3 of the 5 songs to remain on the extended play. The EP was released on May 2nd, 2020 and would consist of:

 "Common Logic":
A remix rendition of the Maryland, USA rapper Logic's "Common Logic: Midnight Marauder". The song, reported to be SyKi's earliest publicly accessable musical creation, contains a single, lengthly multi-syllable rap verse about personal transformation and touching on the artist's desires and urges to evolve amongst several other poetically cryptic descriptions of SyKi's character and life experiences.

 "Insomnia":
The song was a product of rapping and executing melodic rock vocals on a 'Tool × Nirvana type beat' by a producer known as HANI. The song told a story of insomniac associated experiences, suicidal tendencies and rage. It included generally sublime vocals of a spoken word poem by an unknown female slam poet. The expressive vocal piece conveyed an experience of being in a romantic relationship with a personified Insomnia.

"My Way Remix (Limp Bizkit)":
SyKi wrote his version of the song over the official instrumental of "My Way" from Jacksonville, Florida,
 Nu-Metal band, Limp Bizkit. Apparently SyKi completed his song on the band's instrumental before hearing the original version of the song. SyKi's remix of the song consists of 2 verses; a verse about themes revolving around the concepts of spiritual awakening and psychological reinvention, also containing lyrics stating the denouncement of fear and access to aids to SyKi's spiritual growth and personal sense of power and liberation.
In the second verse of the song, SyKi delivered his raps containing lyrics conveying perspectives on living in the present moment, divine guidance, personal evolution and also seemed to balance it's positive themes with creative implications of suicidal tendencies.
SyKi delivered his content over the Nu Metal instrumental deliberately excluding content for choruses/hooks, with the intention of including pieces of Limp Bizkit's band play as prominent and forefront components adding to his remix of the song's structure.
